RELAY FOR LIFE of Lebanon County
Due to popular demand, the Lebanon Relay is again participating in Kintera's "Relay Online" fundraising program.
This is the American Cancer Society's Internet fund-raising program that your teams can use to raise online donations!

You can register your team, build a team and/or participant web page, send e-mails to family and friends to ask for donations, and
accept online credit card donations, all at one easy location!

This is a GREAT opportunity for you to reach those friends and family that may be out of our area, but whom would still like to help you
raise money for your Relay team. With little effort, and even less technological expertise, you can do just that!

We will be giving short presentations on this unique opportunity at the 2007 Relay Rallies, as well as TCU in February.
If your team is interested, we'll even help you get your pages set up right there so you can begin your fundraising immediately!

This is a program we are so excited to make available to all Lebanon Relay teams!

register your team (as a team captain), or to register as a member of an existing team.

Online Registration
  1. First Sign Up Your Team.
  2. Select  “Sign up Here”.
  3. Agree to the standard participant waiver.
  4. Select one of the following:  “Start a Team”   "Join a Team"   or   "Join as an Individual".
  5. Register your team name and set your goals.
  6. Complete the registration form.  NOTE: If you registered online last year, you can “autofill” the form if you remember your
    username and password.
  7. Enter a Username and Password.
  8. If you have already registered offline, choose the "Pre-registered" code here, otherwise choose another code to proceed.
  9. Select  T-shirt size.
  10. Optional Selections (you can get started on the way to your fundraising goal by making a donation to yourself ).
  11. If your company participates in “gift matching” you can enter that information next.
  12. Input your personal fundraising goal (you CAN change this at a later time).
  13. Select Continue
  14. You will see a confirmation page, and will automatically be sent to My HQ to set up your personal online donation page.

Set Up
Once you have registered, you will automatically be sent into your Personal Headquarters to build your web page.  (You can also build a
team page here.)

  1. Start by selecting a picture for your Personal Donation page.  You can either select one from the image Library or load one of
    your own pictures.  
  2. You also have the option to add a background theme to your page.
  3. Customize your web page text. Tell everyone why you are participating in Relay For Life, and ask them to join you.
  4. If you are a cancer survivor or are participating in honor or memory of a loved one, share your story of hope.
  5. Remember you can always go back and add/change your photo and text at any time. In fact, you may want to change your page
    frequently to keep it fresh.

E-Mails
Send out e-mails to your friends and family welcoming them to your web page and inviting them to get involved in Relay For Life. Ask
them to join your team or start one of their own. If they can’t join, ask them to click on your “Make a Donation” link to make an online
donation. (If you have just set up a new team, make sure you send an email invitation out to all your current team members first to make
sure they sign up to Relay Online as well!)

  1. From your Personal HQ, click on "Send Emails to Friends and Family". Here, you will be able to list as many as 50 e-mail address at
    one time, personalize a greeting to each person, customize your message, and send all of the e-mails at once with the tough of a
    button.
  2. Recipients will receive an e-mail with your name on it, a personalized greeting (Hi John), your customized message, and a direct
    hyperlink back to your personal donation page. It’s that easy to begin raising money online!
  3. There are templates online that you can use if you are stuck for words.
  4. You can even draft e-mails to be sent some time in the future.
  5. Be careful with the verbiage in the subject line of the emails. A lot of computer programs will kick out e-mails that they perceive
    as “spam”. So, don’t use terms like “free” or  “offer” or “exciting”.
  6. Remember, the more e-mails you send, the more chances you have to bring visitors and potential contributors to your donation
    page.
  7. Click on e-mail history log to see how many e-mails you have sent and how many people have read your e-mails.

Reports
Track your progress and the progress of your team using the Reports tab.
You can pull a donation report, a team donation report, and a team participant report.

Tools
The Tools tab has many functions.
  1. You can print a donation report for someone send a donation through mail for you.
  2. Register team members using “Team Registration”
  3. You can also edit your login and password, and assign a co-captain.
